The article reports on methods that can be employed to increase industrial efficiency in personnel management. The author focuses on ways to utilize supporting personnel in order to free up the time and capabilities of professional engineers for more career-specific tasks. It is suggested delegating more responsibility to paraprofessionals could alleviate manpower shortages in various industries. A study investigating the response of professionals and paraprofessionals to significant alterations in their job descriptions is analyzed. The results of the study have implications for the effective management of technicians. The periodical assessment of employee need fulfillment is recommended.
