Abstract
A derivation of an effective one-body Dirac equation starting from the Bethe-Salpeter equation is given. This time-dimensionalization of the BS equation involves a mass shell restriction imposed on the nucleus, which is presumed to be more massive than the lepton bound to it. A prescription construction of an appropriate wavefunction as well as an effective potential is given. Keywords
