Abstract
Energy levels of the stable isotopes of silicon, , , and , up to 6.5-Mev excitation have been investigated by studying the inelastic scattering of 7.5-Mev to 8.5-Mev protons from a thin silicon-dioxide target with a broad-range magnetic spectrograph. Several new levels are reported, and the significance of the results is discussed in regard to a previously proposed interpretation of the level spectrum.
