METABOLISM OF CORTISOL-C14IN SUBJECTS WITH ADDISON'S DISEASE

Abstract
Cortisol-C14 is metabolized in Addisonian subjects, completely devoid of 17-hydroxycorticosteroids, at a rate which is not greatly divergent from that of subjects with normal adrenocortical function. In Addison''s disease, the renal excretion of the metabolites of cortisol-C14 is somewhat impaired.
