Abstract
A procedure is described for the recovery of ethyleneglycoidinitrate (EGDN) and nitroglycerine (NG) from explosion debris. The components are collected in a relatively pure form and concentrated by use of a charcoal trap. Either normal or reverse phase high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) can be used to separate the components. The recovery of EGDN and NG from test blasts and case samples is illustrated. Keywords
