Abstract
Under the auspices of the Arctic Institute of North America extensive studies of the lichen flora of Baffin Island were made. Approx. 250 spp. were collected, including 2 n. spp. (Lecanora superflugns Magn., Lecidea baffiniana Magn.), 1 n. f. (Evernia perfragilis f. soredica Hale), 20 spp. new to North America, 45 new to the Canadian Eastern Arctic and about 100 new to Baffin Island. The area appears to have greater phytogeographical affinity with the western North American and Asian floras than with the Scandinavian. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
