Abstract
The calculation of kinematical diffraction intensities is considered with reference to a particular form of the intensity expression which is found to be convenient for treating various forms of crystal disorder. The equations are extended to two and three dimensions. Applications are considered to some well known cases including stacking faults in close-packed structures, K-Hollandite and antiphase boundaries in binary alloys, as well as to recent examples of two-dimensional disorder in Ba2Ti9O20.Keywords
