Abstract
The effectiveness and safety of prescribed medication theoretically depends on the patient correctly following the prescriber's instructions. However, patient compliance is often difficult to achieve. This paper discusses reasons for this in relation to elderly people, and attempts to remedy the situation are reviewed.Keywords
