Abstract
Peripheral plasma was analyzed for 17-ketosteroids by a technique specific only for dehydroepiandrosterone and androsterone, and another for total plasma 17-ketosteroids. The results with the latter method exceeded the results with the former method by 37 [mu]g/100 ml. It is postulated that the "missing" plasma 17-ketosteroid in this patient may have been etiocholanolone. Keywords
