Abstract
VERY significant progress has been made during the last decade in an understanding of the nature of frostbite. Furthermore, recommended treatment today is so drastically different from the generally accepted practice of only a few years ago that it seems most important for modern methods to be understood and applied as widely and rapidly as possible.
