anti-Sulfonamide antibodies catalyse the hydrolysis of a heterocyclic amide

Abstract

The hydrolysis of N-p-toluoylindole and its 3-formyl derivative, at pH 8.0, are accelerated by a factor of nearly 10³ by an antibody obtained against a KLH conjugate of N-p-toluensulfonylindole.
