Abstract
Ductal lavage, a procedure used to collect breast ductal epithelial cells for cytologic analysis, is performed in women who are considered to be at high risk for breast carcinoma to provide further risk stratification. The current article summarizes the opinions of ductal lavage investigators and practitioners to help guide the clinical interpretation of the results of ductal lavage cytology and the management of high‐risk women. Keywords
