Abstract
We present a very accurate determination of the valence bands of copper along . This is obtained with high-resolution angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy, using synchrotron radiation in the eV photon energy range. In addition the data yield inverse lifetime measurements for the hole at the top and the bottom of the band which have a value much smaller (< 50 and 250 meV) than recently reported.
