Fractal clustering of reactants on a catalyst surface

Abstract

The islands of adsorbed molecules in an $A+B\to \mathrm{AB}$ reaction model on a two-dimensional catalyst surface (with no surface diffusion) are found to be fractal with dimension $D=1.90\mathrm{}\pm 0.03$.
