Abstract
The 3-rhamno-glucosido-5-glucosides of paeonidin, malvidin and petunidin, in which hydroxycinnamic acids are linked to rhamnose, from several varieties of petunia were studied. In the examples mentioned, after oxidative degradation, the zones with the Rf value 0.70 - 0.80, after moistening with ammonia, fluoresced blue in UV light, a sign that in all cases p-cumaric acid was present. The disaccharides obtained, in different solvents show the same Rf value and color (aniline phthalate) as rutinose obtained from rutin.
