Abstract
Ultrasonic pulse-echo measurements on polycrystalline specimens of solid krypton have been carried out for longitudinal waves at temperatures from 52 to 115 K and for transverse waves from 95 to 115K. Extrapolations to 0K are consistent with previous deductions made by Urvas and co-workers (see abstr. A5075 of 1968) from measurements of bulk modulus and heat capacity. Agreement between measurements and the various model calculations in the literature is only fair, however. Keywords
