Abstract
Antibody (7S.gamma.2b) was attached to and in the integument of adult S. mansoni removed from CF1 white mice. With the techniques used, IgA [immunoglobulin A], IgM, 7S.gamma.1, 7S.gamma.2a, 7S.gamma.3, and C3 [the 3rd complement component] were not attached to the integumental surfaces. No fixing of C3 by 7S.gamma.2b seems to occur; this antibody may be acting in enhancing and blocking roles which protect the worms from the host.
