"Four studies of the dimensional characteristics of a psychotherapeutic variable, depth of interpretation, were reported. Depth of interpretation was shown to be treated by judges not as a unitary dimension but as at least three dimensions: The primary dimension consistently was depth of interpretation; the secondary dimensions varied depending on the judges and stimuli used. The implications of these results for research with complex psychological variables were discussed.".
