Abstract
The rates of hydrolysis of 12 synthetic dipeptides at 37[degree] C in acid solution were determined and compared with data for similar dipeptides in alkali. The evolution of amino groups, free amino-acids and "hydroxyamino" groups was detd. during the course of acid hydrolysis of gramicidin. Keywords
