Abstract
Pro-lactin in amts. up to 800 Riddle units daily only reinstated a limited milk secretion in the regressing mammaries of ? guinea-pigs. The acinar tissue of such regressing glands required to be reconditioned before it could again enter upon another cycle of secretion. This was best accomplished by the administration of oestradiol plus progesterone. Mammary tissue so prepared was for a short time remarkably responsive to prolactin. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
