ON THE INTRACELLULAR DISTRIBUTION OF GLUCOSE-6-PHOSPHATASE IN THE NEURONS OF CEREBRUM AND TRIGEMINAL GANGLION OF THE RAT

Abstract

Observations are reported showing perinuclear, central and peripheral localization (with no activity in the remaining part of the cell), and general distribution of the enzyme occurs in various cells. These suggest that "cycles" or "waves" of the enzymatic activity must be taking place through the medium of the endoplasmic reticulum.
