Identification of a glycophorin-like molecule at the cell surface of rat thymocytes

Abstract
There are 3 predominant glycoproteins in the rat thymocyte plasma membrane. Two of these have carbohydrate compositions that are characteristic of structures N-glycosidically linked to protein. The other glycoprotein is different, having about 20 O-glycosidically linked carbohydrate units/100 amino acids. It has similarities to the major human erythrocyte sialoglycoprotein.
