A CMOS IC nonlinear resistor for Chua's circuit

Abstract
The first monolithic realization of the nonlinear element in Chua's circuit, now generally called Chua's diode, is reported. The element has been fabricated using a CMOS integrated circuit technology. It can be used as the basic nonlinear component for the experimental synthesis of a broad class of circuits, including cellular neural networks, which exhibits an extremely rich variety of bifurcation, chaotic, and nonlinear wave phenomena.<>
