Abstract

Treatment of (Me₃Si)₃CSiMe₂l, (Me₃Si)₃ CSiMe(OMe)l, or (Me₃Si)₃CSiPh₂l with AgOCn in CH₂Cl₂has given (Me₃Si)₃ CSiMe₂(OCN),(Me₃Si)₃CSiMe(OMe)(OCN), and (Me₃Si)₂C(SiPh₂Me)[SiMe₂(OCN)], respectively, the first normal cyanates of silicon; on heating these isomerize to the corresponding isocyanates.
