Abstract
The Zeeman effect in the bands of ZnH at and CdH at which involve strictly case (a) states and states with large -type doubling is reported in detail. Field strengths up to 30,400 gauss were used, together with a large concave grating in a parallel light mounting which gives a dispersion in the third order of about 1.44A per mm in this region.
