Abstract
Squamous carcinoma of the tongue was diagnosed and treated in a 19-year-old boy. Review of the literature reveals ten other cases in the under-20 age group with an approximately equal sex distribution. Diverse methods of treatment and limited information allow no definite conclusions as to the behavior of this tumor in the young. A vigorous approach is recommended without compromise as to the cosmetic result. Keywords
