Abstract
An experiment has been performed to determine the cavity pressure and cavity length for the flow under a curved two-dimensional turbulent jet discharging parallel to a flat plate at some distance from the surface. The measurements agree quite closely with the predictions of a simple analysis of the flow when a value is assigned to the spread parameter for the curved jet which is somewhat different from that for the plane jet.Keywords
