THE purposes of this paper are to document the frequency of postsurgical persistence of nasopharyngeal angiofibroma, the value of angiography in preoperative and postoperative evaluation, and to illustrate certain new morphological findings detected upon electron microscopic study of these unique tumors. Materials and Methods The clinical, radiographic, and pathologic records and slides of all cases of angiofibroma seen at Barnes Hospital from 1938 to 1968 were reviewed. Follow-up was obtained on all cases, either by recall and examination or personal letter. Preoperative and postoperative carotid angiograms were done on selected patients from 1965 to 1968. During the past five years, portions of the tumors from six patients have been examined ultrastructurally. Results Thirty males with angiofibroma were seen at this hospital in the past 30 years. The pertinent clinical data are presented in Tables 1 to 3. No females were found with this lesion. All of the tumors were unilateral.
