Interaction of defects in two-dimensional systems

Abstract
We derive equations of motion for a diluted gas of spiral defects in the two-dimensional complex Ginzburg-Landau equation. The interaction of two defects is treated and our predictions agree with a recent numerical experiment.Keywords
