Abstract
The well-known method of wet combustion by means of a perchloric-nitric acid mixture has been applied to the determination of the sulfur content of wool. It has been shown to give results comparable with those obtained by standard microanalytical methods when applied to virgin wools of different qualities and to wool modified to contain the more resistant monosulfide linkage of lanthionine. Keywords
