Abstract
Histamine was measured in whole blood and in the plasma of 23 humans following exercise testing of 17 asthmatics and 6 normal controls. Whole blood histamine rose in asthmatics and controls and was associated with a concomitant rise in the basophil count. Plasma histamine in the peripheral venous blood rose in only 1 patient who developed urticaria after exercise. This publication has 9 references indexed in Scilit:
