Abstract
Radioactive insulin was prepared by dissolving in insulin N/10 hydrochloric acid and coupling with radioactive iodonaniline diazotized by addition of Na nitrite. Rabbits were injected subcut. with 2/3 units/kg. Blood samples for sugar detn. were taken. Animals were killed at intervals and skin at site of inj. and parts of abdominal wall excised and tested for the I. Maximum drop in blood sugar followed soon after maximum absorption of insulin and as the absorption rate dropped to very low levels the blood sugar rose to its original level. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
