MOVEMENT AND CONVERSION OF ETHOPROPHOS IN SOIL IN WINTER

Abstract
A computer simulation model was used to describe water flow in soil columns and water balance in the field in winter. Adsorption coefficients and conversion rates, as measured in the laboratory, were introduced into the model to simulate the movement and conversion of ethoprophos in soils. The simulated rates of conversion were lower than the rates measured in soil columns in the field. The movement simulated with the model was greater than that measured in the soil columns.
