Lipoproteins of Serum, Carriers of Tocopherol

Abstract
The concn. of serum tocopherol of 14 adult humans on a usual diet ranged from 0.68-2.75 mg./l00 ml. Tocopherol was concentrated in all lipoprotein fractions but chiefly in the alpha-2-fraction. The serum concn. of tocopherol increased following increased ingestion of alpha-tocopherol with somewhat smaller percentage concentrated in the lipoproteins.
