Abstract
In this paper, we address methods of multivariate regression. We discuss the value of regression compared to matched pairs analysis, methods of coding variables, basic concepts of the Cox model and interpretation of results of the Cox model. We present methods of handling variables whose effect changes with time. We present methods to check the assumptions of the Cox regression. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, we provide suggestions for presenting the results in clear and thorough tables and graphs. Keywords
