Abstract
Tritiated dehydroisoandrosterone was administered to a normal male subject and urine was collected for 7 days. The specific activities of urinary dehydroisoandrosterone sulfate, etiocholanolone sulfate and androsterone sulfate as well as of androsterone glucuronoside and etiocholanolone glucuronoside were determined in each 24-hr collection. Marked differences in the rates of appearance in the urine of metabolites of radioactive dehydroisoandrosterone were observed. The excretion of etiocholanolone sulfate, etiocholanolone glucuronoside and androsterone glucuronoside was virtually complete within 1 day. Within 3 days the excretion of radioactive dehydroisoandrosterone sulfate was 93% complete and that of androsterone sulfate was 82% complete. Keywords
