Reduplication of Nuclear Membranes in HeLa Cells Infected with Adenovirus

Abstract
Examination of HeLa cells infected with adenbvirus, types 1-8 and 10, have shown reduplication of nuclear membranes. A similar phenomenon has been encountered in the case of herpes simplex virus (J. Exp. Med., 110(4) 643-656, 1959) and it is suggested that reduplication of nuclear membranes may represent a basic type of cellular response to infection.
