Abstract
The low-intra-granular critical currents in the new high-Tc superconductors can be understood on the basis of (two-dimensional) flux lattice melting. A detailed analysis can allow determination of Hc2 from measurements at much lower fields. In the presence of pinning, the vortex lattice may also undergo a glassy transition at high fields. Keywords
