Abstract
BIS-TRIMETHYLAMMONIUM decane diiodide (C10 diiodide) has been found to be a potent agent that blocks neuromuscular transmission in animals1 , 2 and in man.3 , 4 As predicted by Paton and Zaimis2 C10 has proved to be a useful substitute for d-tubocurarine in the production of skeletal-muscle relaxation for certain clinical purposes. This communication describes the results of the administration of C10 to normal subjects and prior to electrically induced convulsions.C10 is a white crystalline substance easily prepared in pure form. It is freely soluble in water and can be sterilized by heat without any deterioration. It is miscible . . .Keywords
