The Application of a Quantitative Complement-Fixation Method to a Study of Q Fever Strain Differentiation

Abstract
A quantitative complement-fixation method has been applied to the rickettsial antigens of Q fever. Significant differences in the titers of antigens prepared as outlined from two strains of Q fever were not detected under the conditions of the present test. Human Q fever serums of European and American origin, when tested with Nine Mile and Henzerling antigens, gave similar titers in both instances.
