Abstract
Algebraically degenerate solutions of the Einstein and Einstein‐Maxwell equations are studied. Explicit solutions are obtained which contain two arbitrary functions of a complex variable, one function being associated with the gravitational field and the other mainly with the electromagnetic field.Keywords
