Abstract
Two conflicting studies, which had measured the relationship between REM sleep deprivation and exploration in rats, were evaluated. Both reporting and design inadequacies specified for each study made it impossible to identify the factors which might have contributed to these conflicting results. Therefore research, which eliminated the major flaws in the previous studies, was carried our. No significant relationship between REM sleep deprivation and exploration was observed.Keywords
