Electron-beam treatment of scleromyxoedema

Abstract
A 42 yr old man is described with progressive scleromyxedema. Clinical features included the development of transient CNS symptoms and a 5 yr delay before the appearance of an IgG lambda-chain paraproteinemia. Electron beam therapy resulted in significant improvement which lasted for 18 mo.
