?-Rays Emitted from the Polarized Nuclei and ?-Decay Interactions on the Strong Meson-Dominance Model

Abstract
As a natural extension of the original Yukawa theory of β-decay, the strong meson-dominance model is presented, in which all strong mesons can in general contribute to β-decay. By assuming that the weak interactions between mesons and leptons are exclusively V-A type, general expressions of the beta-decay interactions are deduced, which agree exactly with those given by Weinberg. Here the main contributions come out from the intermediary acts of mesons, π(140 MeV), ρ(760 MeV), δ(960 MeV), πN(1016 MeV), A1(1070 MeV) and B(1220 MeV). The theoretical formulas for the β-ray spectra emitted from the polarized nuclei are given, among which the contributions from the pseudo-tensor interaction (the second class interaction) coming from the B-meson channel are noticeable, besides those from the tensor interaction (the first-class interaction) coming from the ρ-meson channel.
