Abstract
The effect of ACTH was observed in one case of chronic lymphogenous leukemia, one of stem cell leukemia, and one of monocytic leu-kemia. In the 1st case the condition grew worse, in the 2d the course remained unaffected, and in the 3d a brief remission occurred. 2 of the patients exhibited fresh necroses in the myocardium and pituitary, respectively. Possibly ACTH was the cause of these necroses, but it can hardly be held responsible for a small fibrotic area found in the anterior pituitary of one of these patients. Keywords
