Abstract
An expression is obtained for the size distribution function of the time intervals between counts caused by a constant source and its daughter substance in equilibrium. The efficiency of the detector and its finite recovery time are taken into account. The results apply also to counts caused by bombarding particles and artificially radioactive atoms which they produce. Keywords
