Abstract
A monitoring system which indicates the numerical value of heart rate, respiratory rate and indirect systolic and diastolic blood pressure is described. The ecg is employed for determination of heart rate and the impedance pneu-mograph for respiratory rate. Blood pressure is determined by the auscultatory method using a small computer which employs the ecg R wave as an interrogating pulse to control the time-of-inquiry for the Korotkoff sounds. Keywords
