Abstract
Anesthetized dogs were subjected in pairs to ischemic compression shock. Half of the dogs were nephrectomized, the other half sub-jected to sham operation. The results suggest that the presence of the kidneys may produce a slightly higher mean arterial pressure during the period of ischemic compression shock. However, the overall survival time is not changed.Keywords
