Abstract
An investigation has been made of the cadmium (3P1) photosensitized reactions of ethylene, propylene, butene‐1, and butene‐2. The low quantum yields are attributed to the influence of the C=C bond on the actual quenching process and are not inconsistent with the data on C–H bond strengths.Keywords
