Photoabsorption in the vicinity of 3d absorption edges of La, La2O3, Ce, and CeO2

Abstract

Observations of photoabsorption in La, ${\mathrm{La}}_2$ ${\mathrm{O}}_3$, Ce, and Ce${\mathrm{O}}_2$ in the vicinity of the $3d$ edges are given. Calculations of relative absorption intensities for Ce are shown to correspond well with the experimental data.
